Archery used to play such a huge part in our business, with one of the largest permanent 'Have-a-Go' ranges in the country. We were contracting for Warwick Castle, and some other sites too - but now we seem to do a bit less and I kinda miss it!
The team are always dressed in medieval costume, and we use wooden medieval style longbows with the guests. Even though we stopped working at Warwick, we still have some clients for our mobile archery experience! Over the last few years, we have done Have a Go Longbow archery with The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Berkeley Castle and Lunt Roman Fort to name but a few!
For the younger archers, we always use 'shoot through' bows and blunt arrows - just to add extra peace of mind. Our experienced tutors will always work hard to help even the most inexperienced archers leave with a smile on their face!
Often, we are asked for archery displays - of course! We love to show off our skills and talk about history. We've often been asked to do archery for weddings and parties - and we can certainly come and do that too. Events From History began as humble peasant archers - and we certainly know where our roots are!!
